What is the cost of creating an Alaala Design bespoke ring?

In order for us to provide you with an unmatched design experience, our bespoke engagement rings start at $2000. Our pricing reflects the value our clients receive from our exceptional custom process which includes working with a personal jewelry designer to create your one-of-a-kind ring as well as receiving rendered image of your design and a picture of its 3D print.

Is there a downpayment required?

For our bespoke rings, we require a 50% downpayment to get started with the ring and then the remaining 25% upon approval of the CAD and the remaining 25% upon completion of the ring.

How long will my ring take to arrive?

From Consultation to Design, Production, and Shipment, your handcrafted ring will be crafted with care and delivered to your door in just 6-8 weeks.

How do I know the design will match what I envision?

After your initial consultation, you’ll receive a detailed 3D render of your design, allowing you to see exactly how it will look. You also have the chance to request revisions before we proceed with production, ensuring the final design matches your vision.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want?

Don’t worry! Our expert designers are here to guide you through the process. Whether you have a vague idea or no idea at all, we’ll help you explore different styles, gemstones, and settings to create a ring that truly reflects your partner’s personality and your love story.

What if I want to surprise my partner but don't know their preferences?

We can guide you through the process, helping you choose a design that suits your partner’s taste, or you can involve them in the design process for a more personalized approach.

How many times can I alter the design of my ring?

You can alter your ring design as many times as you'd like, as long as it's not in production or image rendering yet. Once we send your design for image rendering, you'll have two opportunities to make changes before finalising the design.

Who should design the ring - the wearer or the proposer?

There’s no right way to create your ring! We work with all types of relationships and if you want to be involved in designing your ring with your partner, then we highly encourage you to. Typically the wearer and the proposer begin the process together by both attending the first design consultation. Then, once the wearer decides which style ring they like best, the proposer takes it from there.

Do I need to know my partner’s ring size?

It’s helpful to know your partner’s ring size, but if you’re unsure, we can assist with a ring sizing guide, or if you get the size wrong you can always have the ring resized later. With Alaala you get two chances to resize your ring as long as you let us know 6 months within receiving the ring.

Can I add personal touches like engravings or hidden details?

Absolutely! One of the greatest advantages of a bespoke ring is the ability to add personal touches like custom engravings, hidden gemstones, or meaningful design details that make the ring uniquely yours.

What if I don't like the final design?

We make sure you’re happy with the design before it goes into production. With our consultation and 3D render process, you can request changes until it feels perfect. If you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll work with you until we get it just right.

How do I know the quality of the materials and craftsmanship?

What are diamond certifications?

The GIA is the most prominent and respected diamond grading lab in the world. Each GIA graded diamond comes with a grading report that shows all of the specifications (“4 C’s”) and characteristics of the diamond. Each Alaala Design engagement ring set with a GIA diamond will be accompanied by a GIA diamond grading certificate.

What is the quality of the melee diamonds used in your jewellery?

Alaala only uses diamonds of the highest quality. We never use diamonds below I Color and SI2 Clarity, and we typically use D-G Color and VS-VVS Clarity diamonds and above in engagement rings and wedding bands to maximize brilliance.

Does Alaala have lab-created diamonds or natural diamonds?

Alaala offers both natural and lab-grown diamond options. Your designer will walk through your diamond options with you and our team of gemologists will source the perfect diamond for your preference.

What does "GIA-certified" mean?

GIA-certified" means that the diamond has been graded by the Gemological Institute of America, one of the most respected and recognized diamond grading institutions in the world. A GIA certificate guarantees that the diamond’s quality is assessed based on strict, industry-leading criteria.

Can I trust diamond certificates from different labs?

While many grading laboratories are reputable, it's important to choose diamonds certified by respected labs like GIA or AGS. Other labs, such as EGL or IGI, may have different grading standards, so it's essential to understand the reputation of the lab behind the certificate.

Do diamonds lose their value over time

Can diamonds with similar grades look different?

Yes, diamonds with the same grades for cut, color, clarity, and carat weight can still look different, especially when it comes to cut. The way a diamond is cut can significantly impact its sparkle and overall appearance, even if the 4 Cs are identical.

Are synthetic or lab-grown diamonds certified?
